Veterinary Science I: FFA and SAE (HAG2311B) {18105A001}

{Illinois Course Code: 18105A001} Veterinary Science I explores the basic systems of animals. The coursediscusses animal cells and tissues, explores the skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, renal, reproductive, digestive, nervous, endocrine and immune systems. The course also covers basic animal health and nutrition, explores veterinary sciences careers, explores the Discovery, Greenhand, State and National FFA Degrees, and how the Supervised Agricultural Experience Program is used in the degree process. Upon completion of this course, students will have excellent animal husbandry and vet skills that will help them proceed with animal and veterinary science curriculum and career exploration.

FFA and SAEP Specific Curriculum

This course includes curriculum related to the Supervised Agriculture Education Program (SAEP) and FFA (formally Future Farmers of America). The course is designed for those student who are in FFA, are planning to become an FFA member, or are in a state that requires SAEP and FFA instruction in order for the student to become an FFA member.
