Social Problems I: A World in Crisis (HSS2781B)

The Social Problems I course will examine a number of social problems that affect the world and individuals today. Students will learn more about the challenges facing societies and the relationships between societies, governments, and individuals in these areas. Each unit will focus on a particular area of social concern, often with a global view, and examine possible solutions at both a structural and individual level. Students, thus, will learn more about how social problems affect their lives as well as the ways that they can make a difference in the social problems that exist in their lives, communities, and world.
