As a person matures from infancy to adulthood, they pass through various predictable life stages. Understanding these stages and the theories of human development has the potential to improve relationships. This course helps students understand more about themselves as an individual, analyze their personal characteristics, and understand principles of adolescent and adult development (physical, emotional, social, and intellectual). This course focuses on communication and conflict management skills that contribute to positive relationships in friendships, dating, marriage, family, and the work environment.
