Precalculus, First Semester (HMA2521B)

The first semester of Precalculus focuses on further topics with functions such as exponential, quadratic, and higher-order polynomials. The course features an adaptive learning component that adjusts to the student’s skills. There are four units with tests and a two-part semester final exam.

This course is driven by Knewton’s fully integrated adaptive learning platform (alta). Knewton alta functions just like a 1:1 tutor, introducing personalized instruction, assessment, feedback and remediation while a student completes an assignment. By completing an assignment in alta, students successfully demonstrate their ability to retain, recall and apply concepts for future use. |
