Consumer Math, Second Semester (HMA1532B)

In Consumer Math, students study concepts that they can apply in their personal lives and in their future careers. The second semester course requires a substantial usage of formulas. It consists of 6 Units covering topics of Interest, Deposits, and Inflation, Annuities, Sinking Funds, Stocks and Bonds, Loans, Personal Property, Real Estate, Income, Insurance, Depreciation, and Graphs. Interactive lessons, narrated videos, and practice problems help illustrate the content. The students will complete 4 real-life application projects, 20 lesson quizzes, 6 Unit Exams, and 1 Semester Final Exam. Although it is not a pre-requisite, having completed an Algebra course prior to enrollment is highly recommended before taking this course.

The assessments in this course are heavily based on real world problem solutions.
